NeuraTech Academy (“NeuraTech Academy”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an examination-preparation service operated by [Nuratech], with its campus at JCX Business Tower, Plot 1136/A Japan Street, Block I, Level 5, Suite H, Bashundhara R/A, Dhaka 1229, Bangladesh. We provide O Level, AS Level, A2 Level and IB study resources, mock examinations, and mock paper checking services for the Cambridge, Edexcel and IB curricula.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to our website (www.neuratech.academy), our registration and enrollment forms, our mock exam and paper-checking services (including submissions made by email or WhatsApp), and our communications with you.

By using our website or services, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Who This Policy Protects — A Note on Students Under 18

Most of our students are under 18. We take this seriously.

  • Where a student is under 18, we require the registration to be made by, or with the verifiable consent of, a parent or legal guardian.
  • Parents and guardians may at any time review the personal data we hold about their child, request corrections, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete it, using the contact details in Section 12.
  • We collect from students only the information needed to deliver our educational services, and we do not use students’ personal data for advertising or profiling.
  • If we learn that we have collected personal data from a student under 18 without the required parental or guardian consent, we will delete it.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Identity and contact details — name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, school or institution, exam board (Cambridge, Edexcel or IB), level and subjects, exam session/year.
  • Parent/guardian details — name and contact information of a parent or guardian, where the student is under 18.
  • Account information — username and password when you create an account on our website. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form and are never visible to us.
  • Academic work and results — answer scripts you submit for checking (as scans or photographs sent by email or WhatsApp), the marks awarded, examiner feedback, marking reports and your performance history with us.
  • Payment information — the transaction reference, sender number and amount for payments made by bKash, Nagad or bank transfer. Payments are processed by those providers on their own platforms; we do not collect or store card numbers, PINs or banking passwords.
  • Communications — messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, our contact forms or social media.
  • Teacher applications — where you apply through our Teacher Registration Form: qualifications, experience and contact details.

Information collected automatically when you use the website:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages visited, and date/time of access.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 8.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data only for the following purposes:

  • To register you (or your child) for mock exams, deliver study materials, and provide access to notes, slides and video lessons.
  • To mark submitted answer scripts, prepare feedback and result reports, and track academic progress across sessions.
  • To verify payments and issue confirmations for the services purchased.
  • To respond to enquiries and provide student support by email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • To send service updates directly related to your enrollment (for example, exam schedules, submission deadlines, and result availability).
  • To send optional updates about new resources or sessions — only where you have consented, and you may opt out at any time.
  • To operate, secure and improve our website.
  • To comply with our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations under the laws of Bangladesh.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone. We do not use students’ data for behavioural advertising.

4. Answer Scripts and Academic Work

  • Answer scripts you submit remain your work. We use them solely to provide marking, feedback and reporting services to you.
  • Scripts are reviewed only by our examiners and markers for assessment purposes and internal quality control.
  • We will not publish any student’s script, marks or feedback in identifiable form without the explicit prior consent of the student and (for students under 18) a parent or guardian. Where we use anonymised excerpts as teaching examples, all identifying details are removed.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal data only with:

  • Our examiners, markers and staff — strictly for delivering the services described above, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Service providers — website hosting, IT support and communication platforms that process data on our behalf.
  • Payment providers — bKash, Nagad and banks process your payment under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Authorities — where disclosure is required by the laws of Bangladesh, a court order, or a lawful request by a competent authority.

6. Third-Party Platforms

Some of our services rely on third-party platforms that have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read:

  • WhatsApp (Meta) — when you submit scripts or contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are also processed by Meta under the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
  • Google services — our website uses Google Fonts, and pages may embed YouTube videos. [FILL: ANALYTICS — confirm whether Google Analytics or similar is installed and list it here, or delete this line.] These services may collect device and usage information under Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Social media — our Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest pages are governed by those platforms’ own policies.

These providers may store data on servers located outside Bangladesh. Where personal data is transferred abroad through such services, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an adequate standard of protection consistent with applicable Bangladeshi data protection law.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Account and enrollment data — for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle re-enrollment and result queries.
  • Answer scripts, marks and reports — for up to 12 months after the relevant mock session, unless you ask us to delete them earlier or consent to longer retention.
  • Payment and transaction records — for the period required by applicable tax, accounting and record-keeping laws of Bangladesh.
  • Correspondence — for as long as needed to resolve the matter and maintain a record of our service to you.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.

8. Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to function, including login sessions and the “Remember me” option.
  • Functional cookies — remember your preferences between visits.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website (such as sign-in) from working.

9. Security

We protect personal data using appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our website, hashed password storage, and access restricted to staff who need it to perform their role. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if we become aware of a data breach that puts your rights at risk, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you (and, for students under 18, your parent or guardian) have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data, including submitted scripts and reports.
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Objection to marketing — opt out of promotional messages at any time.
  • Complaint — raise a concern with us directly, or with the competent data protection authority in Bangladesh.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond within a reasonable time and may ask you to verify your identity (or your relationship to the student) before acting on a request.

11. Governing Law

This Policy and our handling of personal data are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, including the Personal Data Protection Ordinance, 2025 (as amended) and any successor data protection legislation in force, and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.
